Salman Ali Biography:
Salman Ali was born on 14 January 1998 in Mewat, Hariyana, India. He is now about 25 years old ( age as of 2023). He came of a poor Muslim family. His father’s name is Quasem Ali. Parveen Begum is his mother. She is a housewife. Salman’s forefathers were Sufi singers. His father too earned a living by singing Sufi Songs. Salman’s family is comprised of 7 members. They were financially weak and hence to support his family Salman started working at an early age. He trod the family’s traditional path which was singing Sufi Songs. His father somehow married his daughters off but due to his old age, he could not work harder. Hence, he took his youngest son Salman as his co-singer. When Salman was barely 7, he started to sing. Soon music began to attract him. He was able to establish a bond with music.
In order to earn money, he used to sing at weddings. He even learned Bhajans. His father once revealed to the BBC Journalist Sunil Katariya that his son Salman got the opportunity to study at Palwal Delhi Public School in a reserved category but unfortunately he had to drop out. In 2016, he met with a fatal accident and as a result, he suffered severe injuries. Finally, circumstances obliged him to drop out of the school in 9th standard.
Career:
In 2011 Salman decided to participate in ‘ Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs ‘, a music reality show. He became the runner-up of the show.
Salman Ali Indian Idol:
In 2018 Salman participated in Indian Idol, a music reality show. On 23rd December 2018, he was announced the winner of the Show. He received a trophy and 25 lakh rupees as a prize. Ankush Vardwaz was the first runner-up of the show. The veteran musicians Pyralalji, Bappi Lahiri, Suresh Wadkar blessed Salman for his mellifluent voice. Thereafter, he lent his voice to the title tracks of Sony TV’s Shows Chandragupta Maurya and Bhigna Harta Ganesh. He has gained popularity on all Social Media platforms. On his social media platform YouTube he mesmerizes his audience with his sonorous voice. The numbers of his YouTube subscribers testify to his popularity.
Salman, the winner of Indian Idol 10 released his latest song ‘ Pyar Tumse ‘.The composer of the song was Himesh Reshammiya. India’s one of the best dancers Tiger Sharoff got featured in the song.
