She was born on 29 June 1992 into a Hindu family in Nasik, Maharashtra, India. She belongs to a celebrity family. Her father is Adwait Kher and her mother, Uttara Mhatre Kher, is a former Miss India.
Renowned Bollywood actress, Usha Kiran is her grandmother and famous Bollywood actresses Tanvi Azmi and Shabana Azmi are her aunts. Her sister, Saunskruti Kher, is also an actress.

At the age of 20, she started her career as a model for the kingfisher calendar in 2012, after introducing to the Photographer Atul Kasbekar. Before modeling, she worked in her family restaurants in Nasik.
In the meantime, she endorsed many brands such as Levis, Pantaloons, L’Oreal, etc. Even, she worked with actor Saif Ali Khan in the advertisements for Image Eyewear. In 2015, she stepped into the film industry with the Telugu film “Rey” in the role of Amruta.In the next year, she made her Bollywood debut with the film “Mirzya” opposite Harshavardhan Kapoor.
