Palki was born on 29 May 1982 in Pilani, Rajasthan, India. She belongs to a Hindu family. Her present hometown is Delhi. There is no information available about her parents. she belongs to a well-educated and affluent family. Therefore, she got a great scope to pursue quality education.
She completed her schooling at Loreto Convent, Tara Hall, Shimla. Then she took admission to ICG Institute for Educational Research and Development Alliance Francaise Delhi.
Career
Palki started her career anchoring India’s largest broadcasting Television Network Doordarshan. There she used to host regional and national news.
She also had other jobs at Doordarshan to do. She had to shortlist current news and, therefore, format it. She also wrote stories for this news channel.
Next, in 2004 she joined a new channel named Hindustan Times. There she worked as a staff writer. She got civic or social content. For one year she worked there reviewing films, copy-editing, etc.
Then in 2005, she joined India’s largest English channel CNN-News 18. She was then the senior anchor and editor of that channel.
She served the news channel for more than 10 years. She used to cover topics of various celebrated personalities, social activists, artists, authors, sports stars, film stars, and young achievers. She also worked as a writer there.
She was given the Best News Reader Award in the year 2007. In 2016, she appeared as a successful news anchor on the ITV network.
