Nithya was born on 31 January 1990 in Tumkur, Karnataka, India. She belongs to a Hindu family. Her father K.S.Ramu is a classical dancer and TV actor. Rachita Ram is her elder sister. Her sister too is a Kannada film actress and professional dancer. Nitya as if inherited dancing. With a view to polishing her dancing skills, she got admitted to Welight Academy.
