Manoj Shukla, better known as Manoj Muntashir, is a famous Indian lyricist, poet, screenwriter, and television personality. Manoj Muntashir Biography
Manoj was born on 27 February 1976 in a middle-class Hindu Brahmin family at Gauriganj, Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, India. His father Shiv Prasad Shukla was a farmer, whereas his mother was a homemaker. He is the only child of his parents.
He did his schooling at HAL School,Korwa. Afterward, he shifted to Allahabad and pursued his graduation from Allahabad University in 1999. Since childhood, Manoj was very fond of reading, writing, and composing new poems.

After completing graduation, he moved to Mumbai in search of work. But before moving to Mumbai, he worked for All India Radio in Allahabad for a salary of Rs.135. On reaching Mumbai, he met the devotional singer Anoop Jalota who gave him the work of writing hymns.
At first, he earned Rs.3000 for the work of writing bhajans. Afterward, in 2005, he got the chance to write lyrics for the popular TV reality show “Kaun Banega Crorepati”, anchored by Amitav Bachchan. Thereafter, he wrote the scripts for some TV reality shows including “India’s Got Talent”, “Jhalak dikhhla Jaa” and” Indian Idol Junior”. As a result, he got the opportunity to work with the famous artists such as Anu Malik, Amaal Malik, Himesh Reshammiya & Sonu Nigam.
In 2005, he made his debut in the Bollywood industry as a lyricist for 4 songs in the film” U, Bomsi n Me”, released that year. Later, he got the chance to write the lyrics of the songs for the films such as “Budha Mar Gaya”, “Woodstock Villa”, “Do Dooni Chaar”, “The Great Indian Butterfly”, “Issi Life Mein”, “Tere Mere Phere”, “Yeh Fassle “etc.
In 2014, he came into the limelight for the first time by writing the lyrics of the song “Teri Galliyan “for the Bollywood film “Ek Villain“. In the same year, he worked as a lyricist for the film “Zed Plus”, “Rang Rasiye”,& “PK”.
In Addition to this, in 2015, he also left his impression on the films like” Bahubali: The Beginning”, “Hate Story 3″, “Baby”, “Ishqudarriyan”,” Mr X”,& “Ek Paheli Leela” etc.
The following year, he wrote the lyrics of several Hindi films including “Rustom”(Tere Sang Yaara), “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story” (Kaun Tujhe),” Rocky Handsome”, “Kapoor and Sons”, “Jai Gangaajal”, Sanam Re”, “Martizadee”, “Wazir”, “Veerappan”, “Akira”, “Wajal Tum Ho” and so on. Up next, he composed the lyrics of several hits songs for many films like “Half Girlfriend”, “Kaabil “, “Noor”, “Baadshah”, “Naam Shabana,”, “Loveyatri”, “Hate Story 4″,” Genius”, “Raid”, “Oh Humsafar” etc. for the next two years.
Later, he wrote the Hindi dialogues for “Bahubali 2″, dubbing the words in Hindi to match the lip sync movement . The original film was released in Telugu. He also did the same for the Hollywood film” Black Panther.
Next, the superhit songs in the films” Keshari”, “Kabir Singh”, “Notebook”, and “Why Cheat India” smoothened his career. In 2021, she signed as a lyricist for the songs that appeared in the films including “Satyameva Jayate 2″, “Pyaar Ek Tarfaa”, “Bhuj; The Pride of India”, “Lut Gaye”, “Koi Jaane Na” etc. Recently, in 2022, he has written the lyrics of the two famous songs for the film “Radhe Shyam”.

Muntashir received many awards for his excellent writing ability. In 2015, he won the “Indian Telly Awards “for “India’s Got Talent” in the category of Best Script. In the same year, in the category of Best Lyrics, he won” IIFA Awards” for the song “Teri Galliyan” from” Ek Villain” and” Mere Raskhe Quamar “from “Badshah”.
The lyrics of” Teri Galliyan” were so superhit that he got five Awards for this song and these Awards are “Star Guild Awards”, “Hungama Surfers Choice Awards”, “Radio Mirchi Music Awards“,” Arab Indo Bollywood Awards” and “The Indian Icon Film Awards”. Besides, he received the “Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman”, “Yash Bharti Awards“, and “Zee Cine Awards” for different songs in 2016.
Even, he got a nomination for “Mirchi Music Awards” in the category of Album of the Year for the film Kapoor and Sons.
