Neha was born on 18 November 1982 in New Delhi in a Hindu Khatri family. Her father is Ashok Bhasin and her mother is Rekha Bhasin. She has an elder sister named Rashi Bhasin and a younger brother, Anubhav Bhasin.
She did her schooling at Frank Anthony Public School and graduated from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi. Since childhood, she had a long-cherished dream to become a pop star. In 1991, at the age of 9, she won her first-ever singing competition award for Mariah Carry’s song “Hero”.
To learn various dance forms, she joined Shaimak Davar’s Dance Academy. She also took vocal classical training from Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan.

In the same year, she got a nomination for Filmfare Awards South in the category of Best Female Playback Singer (Telugu) for her songs” Poraney Poraney” & “Hello Hello “(Telegu) respectively. The latter song also brought her nomination for Music Mirchi Award South in the same category.
Then, in 2014, she won the South Indian International Movie Award for her song “Aww Tuzo Might Kortha” in the category of Best Female Playback Singer (Telugu). Afterward, between 2016 & 2017, Neha won the Stardust Award, Filmfare Award, Zee Cine Awards, and Femina Women Jury Awards as the best female playback singer for the song “Jag Ghumayee”, featured in the Hindi film “Sultan”.
This song also enlisted her in the nomination as the female vocalist of the year in the Mirchi Music Awards. Up next, in 2018, she got the nomination as the Best Female Playback Singer for the song “Swing Zara” at the Filmfare Awards South.
Besides, she received the Filmfare Awards for the Punjabi song “Panni Ravi Da“ in the category of Best Female Playback Singer -Punjabi. In 2020, another Filmfare nomination as the Best Playback Singer (Female)for the song “Chasni” reached her the zenith of success. In 2021, Neha was featured on the Times Square Billboard as the artist of the month on Spotify for her song “Oot Patangi.”
