Karthik Subbaraj is an Indian film director, writer, and producer. Most of his works are in Tamil. Moreover, he appeared in different Tamil movies as an actor before becoming a film director.

Biography:
Karthik Subbaraj was born on 19th March 1983 at Madurai, Tamilnadu, India. His father Gajaraj is an actor. He appeared in films like Mundasupatti and Kabali as a supporting actor. In his childhood, Karthik was interested in dramas and scriptwriting. He completed his Matriculation and Higher Secondary from SBOA School and Junior college at Madurai, Tamilnadu, India. After that, he went to Thiagarajan College of Engineering to pursue his bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics. After becoming an engineer, he went to Bengaluru and worked there as a Software engineer in Infosys. Although the job was lucrative, he desired to become a film director. Eventually, he resigned from the job. After that, he directed a low-budget short film Katchipizhai which was selected for Naalaya Iyakunar in 2012. Thereafter, he directed a lot of films and also appeared as an actor in some of them.

Karthik subbaraj wife Sathya Prema was an actress. She appeared in the movie Petta with Rajanikanth. She did not proceed further with her acting career. At present, She is leading a much happier life along with her family members. She occasionally shares pictures of her family life on social media.
The majority of the Indian youth aspire to become actors or actresses but Karthik trod a different path. In time, he has established himself as a successful film director. He has become an icon for the youth of his country.
