Iqra Aziz Hussain aka Iqra Aziz is a well-known Pakistani actress and model. She has been appearing on Urdu Television for a long time. She is famous for portraying the role of Ajiya in the serial “Sunno Chanda” and Noor Bano in “Ranjha Ranjha Kardi”. Some of her popular series include “Deewane”, “Choti Si Zindegi”, “Natak”, “Qurban”, “Tabeer” etc.

Biography
Aziz was born on 24th November 1997 into a middle-class Muslim family in Karachi, Pakistan. When she was a little child, her father died due to a severe heart attack. As a result, her single mother struggled a lot to rear her two daughters – Sidra and Iqra.
She did her schooling at a local school in Karachi. Then, she pursued her B.Com degree from Karachi University. Since early childhood, she was fascinated by the TV industry. But her mother forbade her to enter the acting world before completing her studies.

At the age of 14, with the help of her elder sister who was a software engineer, Iqra entered the TV industry as a minor worker. In 2014, co-producer Mahima Duraid noticed her and offered her a superb role in the series “Kissey Apna Kahein”, aired on Hum TV.
She debuted in the series as Shanzey and she got the opportunity to work with famous artists like Arij Fatyma, Danish Taimoor, Shabbir, etc. In the following year, she appeared in a lead role in the series “Muqaddas”.
This series gave her a breakthrough and for this, she also got the role of Sajjal in the series “Mol”, directed by Ilyas Kashmiri. Then, in 2016, she portrayed the role of Shafaj in “Socha Na Tha”; Mehr Sultana in “Deewane”; Marina Zaman in “Kisay Chahoon”. Consequently, in the same year, she starred in the series “Laaj”( Manaut), “Natak” (Shafaz), and “Choti Si Zindegi” as Ameena.
After that, in 2017, she appeared in “Gustakh Ishq” and “Ghairat” in the role of Nafaj and Saba respectively. In the same year, her performance in the series “Kasmoshi” spellbound every viewer. Here she cast the role of Naeema Sabir, an arrogant, greedy girl which was a negative role.
During this time, she also appeared as a guest in the series “Dil-e-Jaanam”. Thereafter, in 2018, she played the role of Heer, a bubbly and bright girl, in Idream Entertainment’s “Quarban”, where she collaborated with Shahzed Sheikh.
Her role as Ajiya opposite Farhan Saeed in the series “Sunno Chanda” really increased her popularity as an actress. Between 2018-2019, she left many series such as “Tabeer”(Tabeer),”Ranjha Ranjha Kardi” (Noor Bano), “Sunno Chanda 2” (Ajiya).
In 2018, she also made a music video entitled “O Jaana” with famous artists like Fateh Ali Khan, Hamza Malik. The next year, she worked with Asim Azhar on a music video for the song “Jo Tu Na Mila”.
Up next, in 2020, she was seen in “Kasak” as Faryal and “Jhooti” as Nirma, a negative character. In 2021, she portrayed the role of Ameera in the series “Raqeeb Se” and also appeared as Mahi in another serial “Khuda Aur Muhabbat 3”.
Recently, at the end of 2021, another music video entitled “Mere Jora” along with Zeb Bangash was released.
Awards
For her excellent performance in the TV industry, she achieved many awards. In 2016, for the series “Choti Si Zindegi”, she was nominated for Best Actress at ‘Hum Awards‘. This series also gave her a nomination for Best On-Screen Couple with Farhan Saeed.
In 2018, she enlisted herself on the nomination list for Most Stylish Television Actress at ‘Hum Style Awards. The following year, she also got ‘ IPPA Awards in the category of Best Television Actress (Jury).
Besides, she earned a nomination at ‘The Lux Style Awards for Best Television Actress (Viewers) and Best Television Actress (Critics).

At the 18th ‘ Lux Style Awards’ in July 2019, Aziz met actor Yasir Hussain and then they got engaged in a sweet relationship. On 28th December 2019, she married her boyfriend in her residence in Karachi.
