Pankaj Tripathi , a well known face in the Hindi Film Industry, is famous for his out of the box acting and dialogue delivery. His uniqueness lies in the fact that he can turn the reel characters into real – life characters.

Pankaj Tripathi Biography:
He was born on 5th September, 1976 in the district of Gopal Ganj, Bihar, India. The name of his village is Besland. Pandit Banaras Tripathi is his father and he is a farmer. His mother is Hemwanti Devi.She is an ideal help-mate of his father. He has two brothers and two sisters.
He came of a poor parents. They depended entirely on agriculture. He revealed that his father once incurred a loan of Rs.5000 from a nearby Cooperative Bank in order to purchase a small automatic tube – well pump. A tool worth Rs.500 was attached to that pump. His father feared that this tool might get stolen and hence in order to protect it from the thieves he used to sleep near the pump after having dinner. This incident proves how humble and down to earth the actor and his family are.
In his childhood Pankaj once played the character of a girl in a village drama and his character was appreciated by all the villagers. As a result, he became passionate about acting.
In 1998 Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Satya’ was released and the character of Manoj Vajpayee became so popular that people started to praise him.Manoj Vajpayee lived near his village across the river of Gopal Ganj and therefore, he became Pankaj’s initial source of inspiration in the field of acting.
Pankaj Tripathi Education:
Pankaj completed his primary and secondary education in the village primary and secondary High Schools.His parents wanted that he should become a doctor and hence he was sent to Patna to clear Medical Entrance Exam but unfortunately he could not clear the exam. As he could not become a person who can treat diseased bodies, he decided to entertain diseased minds. He trod the path of acting. Later, he joined the Bihar Art Theatre in Patna and continued there for 2 years. In his 3rd attempt he got admitted to the Indian National School of Drama and earned a graduate degree in 2004.In order to earn a living he also had done Hotel Management course from Food Craft Institute, Patna, India.
Career:
Pankaj likes to draw inspiration from the lessons he learned from his childhood in his village. He believed in his dreams. After completing his graduation from the National School of Drama, he kept trying to get small roles in movies and TV serials. He was offered some minor roles in the movies like Run, Omkara and Raavan. His role in Gangs of Wasseypor brought attention to his acting. This success, however, did not instantly present him the opportunity to get diverse roles in other movies. In his debut movie ‘Kaala’ (June 2018) he played a tiny role but his acting won the hearts of the audience.
Pankaj Tripathi Mirzapur:
In Anurag Kashyap’s path- breaking hinterland gangster series Gangs of Wasseypur brought Pankaj into limelight. In movies like Stree, Masaan and Furkey he attracted mass attention of the audience. His role in the Movie Newton earned him a special mention in National Film Fareawards .Moreover, his role in Mirzapur as a gritty, dark, icy gangster who has a keen eye on the state’s political arena but is completely blind to his own family’s dark and disturbing secrets earned him fame and fortune.
In Netflix’s Ludo Pankaj plays the role of a gangster.He is a local loan shark who does all the illegal activities.He is the top player in the game.The movie shows that each and every character is predominantly controlled by a super power.
