Divya Khosla( Kumar) is a famous Indian actress, producer, director, and singer as well. She has been working in the Hindi film industry and directing various advertisements for a long time. Besides, she is the wife of Bhusan Kumar, the owner of the well-known music company, T-Series.

Divya was born on 20th November 1987 in Delhi, India. She was reared in a middle-class Punjabi Hindu family. Her father(name not known)ran a small printing press in Delhi,  on the flip side, her mother was a teacher.No information is found about her siblings.

After completing her early education, she graduated in Commerce from Janki Devi Memorial College, Delhi. Since her childhood,she had the desire to become a successful actress. At the age of 18, she started modeling while studying at college. After graduation, she shifted to Mumbai (at the age of 20) to fulfill her long-cherished dream.

Luckily, she got her Bollywood break after meeting with Bhusan Kumar, the chairperson, and MD of T-Series. She made her film debut in 2004 with the Telegu film entitled “Love Today “. Before entering the film industry, she worked on a few music videos including “Honey Honey” , a video with Bollywood star Salman Khan.

In 2000, she also appeared in a video of pop song called  “Aiyyo Rama”, sung by Falguni Pathak. Her other music videos were  “Kabhi Yadoon Mein Aaun” with Abhijit Bhattacharya, and “Zid Na Karo Yeh Dil ka Mamla“(2003) with Roop Johri and Kunal Ganjawala. These music videos acted as an entry card for her into the world of the silver screen. She stepped into the Bollywood industry in the same year with the film “Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon“, starring Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, and Amitav Bachchan.

After a long gap, she focused on direction, instead of acting. In the meantime, she learned cinematography and editing.Next,she directed some music videos like “Agam Kumar Nigam”, “Jermaine Jackson”, “Tulsi Kumar”.These boosted her confidence as a director. After directing 20 music videos, she finally directed the Bollywood film “Yaariyan” for the first time in 2014.

Divya also proved her extraordinary skill by choreographing 5 songs for the films including”‘Baarish”, “Maa”, “Love Me Thoda Aur”,” Allah Warriya” and “Zor Lagake”.

Up next, in 2016, she directed another film entitled  “Sanam Re“, where she appeared specially in the songs “Akkad Bakkad” & “Humne Pee Rakhi Hai”.In addition to these, she also produced films such as  “Roy”(starring Ranbir Kapoor), “Khandani Shafakhana”, “Balta House”, “Marjaavan”, and “Street Dancer 3D”, “Ludo”,”Indoo ki Jawani” and so on.

In 2017, she got featured in a short film entitled  “Bulbul” as Bulbul. In the same year, she reappeared in a music video “Kabhi Yaadon Mein”, sung by Palak Muchhal and Arijit Singh. Later, in 2019, she continued her footsteps in Neha Kakkar’s video “Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi”.The next year, Divya was seen in Darshan Raval &Neha Kakkar’s video “Jeri Aankhon Mein “and B.Praak’s “Besharam Bewaffa”.

In 2021, she had the lead role of MLA Vidya Maurya Azad opposite John Abraham in “Satyamev Jayate 2”.This film, due to the Corona pandemic, was released in November 2021.
