Aaditi was born on 31 December 1994 in Mumbai Maharashtra. She is now about 27 years old.
She is a Hindi by religion. Her father, Sudhir Pohankar was a former marathon runner. On the other hand, her mother, Shobha Pohankar was a former national-level hockey player. Her grandmother, Sushila Tai Pohankar was a classical music singer. Her elder sister, Nivedita Pohankar works as a writer at Prithvi Theatre. Famous classical singer Ajay Pohankar is her uncle and her brother-in-law is Makarand Deshpande, a well-known actor in Bollywood.
After completing her schooling at a local school (name not known), She pursued her graduation in Commerce from the University of Mumbai, located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. While she was a school student, she represented Maharashtra in the sports Athlete and won medals in 100 meters and 200 meters.
Career
In 2010, Aaditi attended the acting workshop of the famous theatre director, Satyadev Dubay, who advised her to act with the renowned Bollywood actor Makarande Deshpande. Besides, she tried her luck in films. In 2010, she made her acting debut in the film “Love Sex Aur Dhoka” in a small role, Aditi. Then, in 2011, she went to work in a Marathi film entitled ” Kanasathi Kunitari”, directed by Rekha Saray. In this film, her co-actors were Ashok Saraf, Smita Jaykar, and Poonam Dhillon. After that, in 2012, Aaditi appeared in a Malayalam movie directed by M.S.Anil.
Next, she showed up as a seven-year-old boy in Makrand’s play “Time Boy In Mumbai” in 2014. Her performance in this play surprisingly impressed the famous director Nishikant Kamat and she got the role of Nandhini in Kamat”s Marathi film “Lal Baahari”, opposite Ritesh Deshmukh. This was her first major breakthrough . Therefore, Aaditi received much fame and recognition. Upon release, this film became the most profitable Marathi film of all time.
After a short break, Aaditi made her Kollywood debut in 2017 with the movie entitled film “Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum” as Saroja Devi . Later, she acted in Selvaraghavan’s drama film” Mannavan Vanthanadi”, opposite Santhanam. In 2018, after meeting with Imtiaz Ali at the screening of his brother’s film “Laila Majnu,” she got the role of a police constable Bhumika in the web series “She”. These series were released on Netflix in 2020. The same year, she appeared in a popular web show “Ashram“, starring Bobby Deol. Here she played the role of Parminder/Pammi, a young wrestler. For this role, famous wrestler Sangram Singh trained her.
Other works: Apart from acting in TV shows and films, Aaditi worked as a model and participated in the International Film Festival of India red carpet in Goa in 2014. Even she endorsed more than 20 brands’ ads and commercials including Cadbury Munch, Godrej AER, Airtel, Lenskart, and Samsung. Moreover, she was ranked the Most Desirable Women at NO.47 in 2020.
