Rashmi Gautam is an emerging Indian actress and anchor, who mainly works in the Telugu film industry. She is known for her role as a TV presenter in the Telugu comedy shows “Jabardasth “and  Extra Jabardasth”.She is also a trained dancer who has been working as a team leader in many dance reality shows on Telugu TV for a long time.

Rashmi was born on 7th April 1988 in a middle-class Brahmin family in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh,India. Her father, Ram Gautam originally hailed from Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, her mother, Mamatha Gautam who was a retired school teacher, hailed from Odisha. When Rashmi was just 12 years old, her parents got separated.

She did her schooling at Delhi Public school, Vishakhapatnam. Afterward, she completed her graduation from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Since her childhood, she had a long-cherished desire to be a successful actress. After graduation, she went to Hyderabad not only to pursue her further education but also to fulfill her long-cherished dream.

In 2002, Rashmi started her acting career at the age of 12 as a child artist named Shalu in the film” Holi”. Later , she acted in few movies” Adi c/o ABN College” (2004),”Thanks”(2006), “Current” (2009)”,Evaraina Epudaina”(2009).

In 2007, she had the lead role of Swathi in a TV serial entitled “Yuva” to play. The following year, she appeared in another TV series “Love” as Mounica.In 2009, she made her Bollywood debut as Geeta in a Hindi film called “Well Done Abba”.

After that, she played different roles in different movies such as Archana in “Ganesh Just Ganesh“; Geeta in “Bindass“; Nandu in “Chalaki” and so on. After appearing in a supporting role in the 2010 Telugu film “Prashthanam”, Rashmi received much fame and recognition and she also got the lead role  of Narmada in the film “Kanden “, with the recommendation of the famous actress Sangeetha. In the same year, she participated in the reality show “Ideal Super” as a contestant.

In spite of reaching the top 5, unfortunately, she was eliminated before Grand Finale. Her next Hindi film entitled” Login” was released in 2012. Here she cast the role of Vrutika. Luckily, in that year, she was nominated for the best film debutante in the Kannada film industry for appearing as Ankitha in the film “Guru”.

Thereafter, she made her debut as a host with the “Jabardasth” show in 2013. Rashmi then hosted various shows like” Super Kutumban“(2013, Gemini TV), “Ragada the Ultimate Dance show” (2014, Tollywood TV), and “Extra Jabardasth” (2014 to present). She appeared as Charusheela in 2015 in the film “Charusheela”.

Up next, in 2016, she left her deep impact on such movies as “Gunter Talkies”(Suvarana),” Rani Gaari Bunglow”(Sapna),”Antham” (Vanita), etc.

In 2017, she got her name character in “Next Nuvve”. In between, along with acting and hosting, she also kept up her attendance as  Team leader in “Dhee”, a  reality show. She also portrayed the role of Madhu Priya and Valli in the movies “Anthaku Minchi”& “Shivaranji” respectively. In the film “30 Rojullo Preminchandam Ela”(2021), she appeared specially in the song “Wah Wah Mere Bawa.”
