Namitha Pramod was born on 19th September 1996 in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. His father Pramod is a successful business person and her mother is a housewife. Akhita Pramod is her sister. Namitha completed her secondary and higher secondary education from Carmel Girls’ Higher Secondary School. Thereafter, she pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at St.Teresa’s College, Kochi, Kerala.

Namitha started her career with Malayalam Television series such as Vellankanni Mathavu, Amme Devi, and Ente Manasa Puthri. To speak the truth, she was studying just in 7th standard when she stepped into acting. At the age of 15, she appeared as a debutante actress in Rajesh Pillai’s Malayalam thriller Traffic. After that, the directors took notice of her. she was cast in the lead role of the movie ‘ Puthiya Theerangal ‘.
In the movie, she played the role of a fisherwoman. Her performance was outstanding. Therefore, she won the new face of the year award. Even, her co-actor Nivin Pauly praised her acting.
In her next venture ‘ Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum’ she played the role of a Mohiniyattam dancer. Although she was not good at the Mohiniyattam dance form, She learned the dance steps within a few days. Moreover, the chemistry between Namitha and Kunchako Boban was worth watching. In ‘Sound Thoma’ she appeared as a supporting actress whereas Dileep played the lead role.
In 2014, she debuted in the Tamil film industry with the movie ‘En Kaadhal Pudhithu’.After that, She was seen in Linjin Jose’s ‘Law Point ‘ where she played the role of a modern city-bred girl.

She could not speak the Konkani language but for the sake of the movie, she learned the language and spoke a few lines in the Konkani language in the movie. Moreover, She showed up in other box office hits like ‘ Villali Veeran ‘, ‘ Ormayundo Ee Mukham ‘ and ‘ Chandrettan Evideya’.
Noticing her popularity various brands approached her. She gets featured in commercials of Bhima Jewellers, Francis Alukkas, and Ripple Tea.
