Meera Vasudevan, also known as Meera Vasudev, is an Indian actress and Television personality. She is not only famous in the Bollywood film industry but also a renowned face in Kollywood and Mollywood film industries.

Meera Vasudevan Biography:

Meera Vasudev was born on January 29, 1982, in Mumbai, India. Her father’s name is Vasudevan and Hemalatha is her mother. She belongs to a Tamil brahmin family. She completed her schooling in her home town Mumbai. Thereafter, she pursued her bachelor’s degree in  Psychology and English literature. Then she entered the modeling industry. Meanwhile, in 2003 She got the opportunity to debut in the Bollywood film industry. In her debut Hindi film ‘ Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula ‘ she was cast opposite Miland Soman. Although ‘ Rules Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula ‘ was her first film, her Telugu film ‘ Golmaal’ was released earlier. In the same year, she stepped into the Tamil film industry. She appeared in ‘ Unnai Saranadinthen’ which was Samuthirakani’s directorial debut.

Venkat Prabhu and S.P.B Charan were in the lead roles of the movie. In the movie, she played the role of Bobby, a hardheaded village girl. The critics appreciated her acting skills and therefore she won the Tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for best actress.

In 2005 she married the famous cinematographer  Ashoke Agarwal’s son Vishal Agarwal. But in July 2010 the couple got divorced. After that, She remarried the distinguished Malayalam actor John Kokken. The couple has a son. Unfortunately, Meera’s second marriage too was ephemeral. In 2016 she and John got separated.

These films proved unsuccessful at the box office. Thereafter, in 2005 she entered the Malayalam film industry. In Blessy’s Malayalam movie ‘ Thanmathra ‘, she shared the screen with Mohanlal. Meera, as Lekha Ramesan, a housewife and mother of two children, surprised the audience with her flawless acting. Therefore, she attracted positive reviews and finally won the Best Female New Face Award at the 2005 Ujala- Asianet.

In 2006 Meera again showed up in a Bollywood movie entitled ‘ Jaadu Sa Chal Gayaa’.The movie received mixed responses. Then she appeared in a Tamil comedy and drama movie ‘ Jerry’.In the movie, she played the role of a police officer. Next, she showed up in a Malayalam drama film called ‘ Oruvan’ where she played the role of a housewife.
