With a blend of youth and literal legends in the vicinity, the Ganges Grandmasters are poised to create waves in the league starting October 3rd.

A Dynamic Team Composition

The Ganges Grandmasters boast a unique lineup, headlined by none other than the legendary Viswanathan Anand, a five-time World Champion.

The roster also features one of India’s most promising young talent Arjun Erigaisi, the highest-rated chess player in the country right now.

The grandmasters will also have the service of Parham Maghsoodloo, an Iranian grandmaster as the other male superstar.

Ganges Grandmasters further extend their solid Indian core and visibility in the female superstar section by having Rameshbabu Vaishali, who’s been rising up the ranks recently and was even featured in the 2024 FIDE Candidates.

Nurgyul Salimova, another FIDE 2024 Candidate participant, who’s just one GM norm away from becoming the second Bulgarian woman to clinch the grandmaster title, will fill up the slot for the second female superstar.
