Then in 2006, she shifted to the United States for pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and performance studies at the University of California, Berkeley. She also attend a renowned music school whence she got trained in music and various musical instruments including piano.
Before moving to the U.S. she got featured in various Japanese works. In 2005 she debuted in the T.V. industry with the T.V. series Rensakaidan, a horror school TV drama, directed by K.B.S Kyoto. After arriving in the U.S. she got the opportunity to play the female lead in the short film Drip in 2011. The film was awarded the Member’s Award at the 15th Scary Cow Film Festival in San Francisco.
Then there was no looking back, she started to appear in numerous short films and T.V. shows which included Nostalgia, Slashed: Tales Of Forbidden Lust, The Clown, and many more. Moreover, her character portrayal as Shiori, the female lead, in Victor Mathieu’s directed Horror T.V. series ‘Smiling Man’ helped her to earn a reputation and fame. Lately, she was seen appearing in Apple TV+’s show Little America (2022) in the role of Yoshiko.
Shiori also worked in ‘Delusion ‘, a haunted theatre play, alongside Emmy Award-winning actor and producer Neil Patrick Harris. In addition to this, she is an active member of the Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG – AFTRA).
