Shardul Bhardwaj was born and brought up in Delhi, India. There is no information available about parents and other family members.

Shardul was sent to Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Delhi to pursue his schooling. After completing his school, he took admission to the University of Delhi whence he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature (Honours). After completing his graduation, he attended the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune to fulfill his dream of becoming an actor.

Shardul joined ‘The players’, a theatre society of Kirori Mal College, as a junior stage artist. After working there for a couple of months he shifted to Mumbai because he desperately wanted to work in Bollywood movies. In 2018 he got the opportunity to work in the film ‘Bhonsle ‘ where he portrayed the character of Pandey. In the movie, he worked alongside Manoj Bajpayee.
In the following year, he was again cast in the film Eeb Allay Ooo ! as Anjani Prasad. His flawless acting as Anjani Prasad earned positive and critical acclamation and as a result, he received the best actor award at Mumbai Film Festival 2019. He was also nominated for critic’s best actor in male leading at the 66th Film Fare Awards in 2021.
Shardul’s Career had already got kickstarted and therefore, he began to appear in commercially successful movies like Unpaused (2020), 2024(2021), and Kuttey (2023) respectively.
Shardul played the role of Dandekar in the recently released film Kuttey( 13 January 2023). Although he was cast alongside seasoned Bollywood actors like Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Radhika Madan, and Naseeruddin Shah, he acted flawlessly on screen and won the hearts of the audience.
