Seven Indian Badminton stars set for Paris Olympics

7 Indian shuttlers, such as PV Sindhu, have secured their spots to compete in the Paris Olympics across 4 groups. The qualification was dependent on their Olympic Game titles Qualification rankings, with the last nod coming on the cutoff day established by the Badminton Globe Federation (BWF).

Sindhu, alongside with men’s singles gamers HS Pranoy and Lakshya Sen, had already booked their Olympic berths. Sindhu, a previous earth champion, rated 12th in women’s singles, though Pranoy and Sen secured the ninth and 13th positions, respectively.

In men’s doubles, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty grabbed the 3rd place in the qualification cycle, rising as powerful medal hopefuls for India. In women’s doubles, Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa clinched the 13th position, making sure their participation in the Olympics.

Having said that, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, the other women’s doubles pair, narrowly missed out on Olympic qualification.
