Paralympics 2024 LIVE: On Sunday, the Indian contingent will get a chance to add to the medals tally with four Indians having qualified for the finals of various track and field events.
The action began with Rakshita Raju in Round 1 of the women’s 1,500m T11 event. She clocked 5:29:92s to finish last in her heats.
Thereafter, Ravi Rongali stepped up to the plate in the finals of the men’s F40 shot put event. But despite a personal best effort of 10.63m, he finished 5th and out of the medals.
Action will now shift to the track events late on Sunday night where Nishad Kumar and Ram Pal will be seen in the finals of the men’s T47 high jump finals at 10:40pm.
And finally, Preethi Pal, having already pocketed a bronze medal in the women’s 100m, will have another crack at a medal in the women’s 200m T35 final at 11:08pm.
