In a cyber incident, far more than 1,000 civil documents ended up wrongly issued from the government’s on the web civil company portal known as ‘Government 24’, primary to the leak of own information, the interior ministry said on Sunday.
The files — 646 graduation and other certificates, and 587 company tax payment certificates — were being issued beneath the identify of the erroneous specific or organization representative, exposing sensitive own details, including names, addresses and resident registration numbers, according to the ministry.
The solutions have been restored to regular, it said, blaming the error on the program developer’s miscalculation, stories Yonhap information company.
The ministry reported the wrongly issued files have been deleted and individuals whose own information was leaked have been informed via cell phone or mail.
