Jessica Louis Nelson aka Jesy Nelson is an English singer. She was a member of Little Mix, a group of British female singers from 2011 to 2020. In 2021 she made her solo debut in the world of singing.

Jesy Nelson Biography
Jesy was born on 14th June 1991 in Romford, East London. Her father John Nelson is a businessperson and Janis Nelson, her mother, is Police Community Support Officer. But she could not get her parents together.
When she was just five, they got separated. Jade is her elder sister, and Jonathan is her elder brother. She also has a younger brother named Joseph.
Jesy lived with her mother. As a mother, Janis had to go through several difficulties in bringing up her children. Even she struggled a lot to give them proper education and support. Jesy attended Richardson Community School.
Afterward, she went to Abbs Cross Academy and Arts College. Her classmates, as well as her teachers, loved her for being good at behavior. After her graduation, she decided to train herself in the Theatre Academy.
So she joined Sylvia Young and Yvonne Rhodes Theatre Schools. Before going to give an audition for The X Factor (2011) she had been working as a barmaid.
Jesy Nelson Career
In 2011 she gave an audition for the first time as a solo singer in the eighth season of the UK adaption of The X Factor. She appeared before the judges Lowish Walsh, Gary Blaralow, Tulisa Contostavlos, and Kelly Rowland. But she failed to succeed in the boot camp round to go further as a solo girl singer.
There were two groups. The first one was called ‘Faux Pas’ in which Jesy and Perrie Edwards were included, on the other hand, the other group called ‘Orion‘ consisted of Jade Thirwall and Leigh Anne Pinnock. But it was a misfortune that both the groups could not go further.
But the judges reconsidered the matter and decided to choose two members from each of the groups and formed a four-member group named Rhythmix. Next, they went through the judges’ Houses section. Later, they performed live shows.
Their mentor was Tulisa Contostavlos. On 28 October 2011, they named their band Little Mix. Next, on 11 December 2011 Little Mix was declared the winner of the show The X Factor.
Next, there was a long journey ahead for the group to tread to get global recognition. After the winning revelry, the group Little Mix signed a contract for recording music with Syco Music. Simon Conwell, a celebrated TV personality, is the owner of it.
Despite facing Cyberbullying during X Factor, she managed to cope with the situation. She, along with her band, voiced in total 6 albums: DNA(2012), Salute(2013), Get Weird (2015), Glory Days, (2016), LMS(2018), and Confetti(2020).
There were four songs inc9 on the Album: Wings (released on 24 August 2012), DNA (released on 9 November 2012)
Change Your Life (released on 15th February 2013) and ‘How Da Doin'(released on 15 April 2013).
The album was a combination of Pop and R and B records. The song DNA ranked first on Music Chart, UK. Then her second album followed it. It was entitled Salute. The first single of the album was ‘Move’ which ranked 3rd on the UK Music Chart 2013.
Then ‘Little Mix’ was released. It was a song dedicated to the supporters of Little Mix. In 2015 Jesy announced on Brit Award show that their third album which was named Get Weird would be released. Soon the chartbuster single Black Magic Of the third alum was played at every radio junction.
In that year she wrote the single Pretty Girls in collaboration with Britney Spear.
The album was critically acclaimed. Her fourth album was ‘Glory Days’. The album was dedicated to herself for being a successful vocalist. The album achieved the first rank on the UK Album chart. Her first single was Shout Out to My Ex.
It also got great recognition on UK Singles Chart. She debuted as a solo artist in October 2021 with her single “Boyz”. Nicki Minaj got featured in it.
She also lent her voice in films like About A Boy(2002), Harry Potter, and Goblet of Fire (2005). But she was not credited for that. In 2012 she appeared in a British TV series called Styled to Rock. In 2017 she appeared in a documentary named Little Mix: Glory Days.
The documentary was directed by Adam Goodall. Thereafter, she took part in the TV series Celebrity Google box in 2019. The celebrities came and gave their reactions to the UK’s top TV shows. This year she was seen appearing in two other shows: Eat in With Little Mix, and Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out.

Nelson had been in a relationship with Jordan Banjo, a Diversity member, for about 10 years. But soon a crack in their relationship started to grow. In 2013 they got separated from each other. In 2014 Nelson again fell in love with Jake Roche, the lead singer of Rixton.
In 2015, they came close to each other and got engaged. But their relationship also did not last long. They broke up in 2016. She was also in a relationship with Chris Clark in 2017. She had a brief relationship with Hary James and ended up in 2018.
In 2019 she got engaged to Chris Hughes, a contestant on Love Island. In 2020 they celebrated together their one-year bond. But this relationship did not proceed further due to their internal frictions.
After that, she alienated herself from everything and led a secluded lifestyle. But after a few months, it was known that she had been dating the actor Sean Sagar.
2020 appeared to her as a nightmare. She had been suffering from inner turmoil and grave psychological distress. On 14 th December 2020 it was announced from the part of the Little Mix that Nelson would leave the band.
Before releasing Little Mix’s sixth album, Nelson took some time for relief as she was going through mental ill-health. On 14 December 2020, she announced her decision of forsaking the band due to her mental instability.
Nelson also confessed in front of The Guardian that since her appearance in The X Factor, she had been trolled for her outfit and physical appearance.
She needed a therapist or psychologist with the coaches.
Many people who were connected with the band, wanted to drive her out from the band by hook or by crook. It resulted in her hospitalization. Her mother disclosed it to media persons.
There was a documentary about her. The documentary was entitled Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out. It was released by BBC Three in 2019. It was about the bitter reality of her life and the dark of the glamour world.
Allegations
In June 2018 Nelson faced criticism when she uploaded an image on her Instagram page. She was criticized for the disproportionate picture which was a cultural annexation.
Again in 2021, she was indicted for blackfishing, one type of cultural annexation. Her physical changes drew racial allegations against her. They told her that since her appearance in Little Mix she darkened her skin tone with increasing lip size.
In 2021 She faced criticism after the release of “Boyz“ for her appearance.
