Janhvi was born on 6th March 1997 in Andheri, Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her mother’s name is Sridevi. She was a veteran Bollywood actress who acted in more than 300 films in over 5 decades. Her father Bony Kapoor is a film producer. She completed her schooling from Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Nita M. Ambani is the chairperson and founder of Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Later, she moved to the U.S. to pursue her higher studies. She completed her acting course at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in California.
Career
Janhvi Kapoor, the star kid, first debuted in the movie Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khattar. Shashank Khaitan was the director of the movie. It was a remake of the 2016 Marathi film Sairat. The film faced severe criticism and negative reviews. Despite this fact, it succeeded to earn 1.5 crore INR at the box office. Therefore, the movie was commercially success. Janhvi was awarded the Best Female Debutante Zee Cine Award. In the same year Nykaa, an online store company, made her their brand ambassador. Then she was seen in Zoya Akhtar’s horror film Ghost Stories (2020). It was released on Netflix. Next, she worked opposite Rajkumar Rao in the comedy horror movie Roohi Afza(2019). She also portrayed the character of Gunjan Saxena in the biopic Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. But unfortunately, it could not be released due to the pandemic situation. Later in August 2020, the film was released on Netflix.
