ISL Player of the Week: Hat-trick Hero Borja Herrera

In Indian Super League (ISL) match week 3, Borja Herrera stole the spotlight with a sensational hat-trick, leading FC Goa to a hard-fought 3-2 victory over East Bengal FC.

His performance not only marked the first hat-trick of the ISL 2024-25 season but also helped FC Goa reach a significant milestone—scoring their 350th goal in ISL history, the highest by any team in the league.

Just seven minutes later, he doubled his tally, converting a perfectly weighted cut-back from Boris Singh.

His third goal, coming in the 71st minute, was the highlight of the night, as he calmly finished after a clever move to complete his hat-trick.

Borja’s incredible display saw him not only score all three of Goa’s goals but also contribute with seven crosses, two key chances created, and an impressive passing accuracy of 26 out of 32 completed passes.

With this victory, FC Goa not only secured their first win of the season but also cemented their place in ISL history by becoming the first team to reach 350 goals.
