Heeramandi is situated in Lahore, Pakistan. Heeramandi means diamond market but the name of the place was given after Heera Singh, a minister of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It was one of the contemporary largest vegetable markets. During the Mughal era, it was a place of cultural heritage. With the arrival of the British, the place got transformed into an infamous red-light area and at present, its fate has yet not changed.
