Haryana boxers confirm 19 medals at 3rd Sub Junior National Championship

Continuing their dominant exhibit in the tournament, 19 Haryana boxers entered the semifinals and verified their medals at the 3rd Sub Junior Nationwide Championship at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Elaborate in Larger Noida.

The ladies from Haryana managed to safe 10 medals though the boys sealed the semifinal berth in 9 types to assure by themselves of at least bronze medals.

Bhoomi (35kg) and Nischal Sharma (37kg) started off the working day for Haryana in girls’ sections with contrasting victories. Bhoomi thrashed Delhi’s Apeksha in a bout that finished with the referee stopping the contest in round three whilst Nischal had to operate tricky versus S Sarah of Tamil Nadu through her thrilling 3-2 gain.

Diksha (40kg), Diya (61kg), Sukhreet (64kg) and Manshi Malik (67+kg) clinched equivalent wins with a unanimous 5- choice.

Rakhi (43kg) and Navya (55kg) gained their respective bouts with RSC decisions. Rakhi faced Mizoram’s Malsawmdawngkimi when Navya was up versus Andhra Pradesh’s Naga Navya.

Khushika (49kg) and Naitik (52kg) have been the other Haryana boxers to progress into the semifinals.

Extending his successful variety in the boys category Uday Singh (37kg) grabbed an quick 5- gain around Mizoram’s Jerry Varte.

Nitin (40kg), Ravi Sihag (49kg), Naman (58kg), Siddhant (61kg), and Kartik Dagar (70kg) also received their respective quarterfinal bouts with a similar 5- final decision.

Sanchit Jayani (46kg), Lakshay (52kg) and Anmol Dahiya (64kg) from Haryana also designed their way into the semifinals with a win.

Meanwhile, Uttarakhand’s 6 pugilists entered the boys’ semifinals and 8 women from Delhi verified medals following winning their quarterfinal bouts.

The finals will be played on Monday.
