The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), on Monday, explained it has ‘multiple proposals’ and will announce a new host for the 2026 version of the Commonwealth Games in May possibly.
Australian state of Victoria in July very last yr and Malaysia in March this calendar year cancelled their arranging to host the Game titles, citing escalating prices.
The CGF, on the other hand, held the new proposals confidential.

“We are performing collaboratively with the pertinent (customers) to undertake even further specific assessments, and aim to announce the 2026 Commonwealth Game titles host in May perhaps,” the assertion added.
Victoria had agreed to host the CWG following it been given a compensation package. But the condition afterwards pulled out after it could not avail of state or federal funding.
Very last month, Malaysia turned down an offer to host the 2026 CWG, citing time constraints, fees and an insufficient supply of funding.
