Bidipta was born on 9 December 2004 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She hails from a middle-class Hindu Brahmin family. She is now about 18 years old (age as of December 2022).
There is little information available about her parents except for the fact that she has an elder sister. One of her recent Instagram posts reveals that she is very close to her family, especially to her father who inspires her a lot.

Since childhood, she was attracted to music more than anything else. From a very tender age, she started to perform on stage. Back in the year 2017 she took part in a singing reality TV Show entitled Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Bangla ( সা রে গা মা পা বাংলা) and became the 2nd runner up.
In the same year, she participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champ 2017. What is more, in 2021 she became the first runner-up of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2021 aired on Zee Bangla ( জী বাংলা). In the following year, she participated in Indian Idol 13 and managed to reach among the top 15 contestants. Her magical voice is critically acclaimed by the judges like Vishal Dadlani, Himesh Reshammiya, and Neha Kakkar.
