Annamayya spread social consciousness through Sankeertans

Tirupati: Retired IAS officer Chinnaveerabhadrudu mentioned that Annamayya used his Sankeertans as a weapon to increase social consciousness by means of religious signifies, thus training the philosophy of God to the typical individuals.

Anantapur SK University retired professor Dr Raghunadha Sharma speaking on the matter ‘Annamayya – Bhakti Tattvam’ claimed that Bhakti is like a bridge to attain God and Annamayya wrote extensively about Bhakti in his Sankeertans. Retired Professor from Visakhapatnam Dr Indira talking on the subject ‘Annamayya – Hanumat Sankeertanalu’, claimed that in Sri Vaishnava temples there is Garudalwar near the Lord and Sri Anjaneyaswamy outdoors the temple. It is mentioned that Annamayya frequented quite a few Hanuman temples in Rayalaseema and Karnataka and wrote numerous Sankeertans.

Before at 9 am a devotional tunes programme was performed by Srimati Sai Padmaja troupe from Tirupati. Later, Annamacharya Job Director Dr Vibhishana Sharma felicitated the speakers with shawl and Srivari Tirtha Prasadams.

SVETA director Bhumana Subramanyam Reddy, sub-editor Dr Narasimhacharyulu, programme assistant Kokila, other officers and people of the temple metropolis participated.
