Get ready for Bhagam Bhag 2! In 2006, Priyadarshan’s Bhagam Bhag entertained us by starring three iconic comic stars, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Govinda. The film made Rs 67.82 crore and became a super-hit venture. The film is loved by even today’s generation due to its catchy and trending memes, and thus, it turned out to be a cult comedy. After 20 years, Akshay Kumar is now planning to bring the trio back for the sequel Bhagam Bhag 2.

According to sources, Roaring River Productions owned by Sarita Ashwin Varde has acquired the rights for Bhagam Bhag and is now moving forward with the production of Bhagam Bhag 2 in association with Shemaroo Entertainment. A source says that Mr. Khiladi is looking forward to reuniting with the OG duo of Paresh Rawal and Govinda for the upcoming sequel. A source revealed about the upcoming project and said,
“Hera Pheri, Bhagam Bhag and Garam Masala are three of the most special films for Akshay Kumar and he has already sorted out the franchise rights for Hera Pheri and Bhagam Bhag. The sequel is currently in the writing stage with a fresh set of writers.”

“Three comic legends in the same film will be a treat for cinema-going audiences, and the idea is to crack a script that does justice to the legacy of their work in the past. The scripting work has just started, as the germ of an idea for Bhagam Bhag 2 is already in place. Akshay will be collaborating with another producer on the film and the details have been kept under wraps for now.”
After the scripts are completed, a director will be on board. If all goes as planned, Bhagam Bhag will be on the floor by the end of 2025 and will be released in 2026. With a fresh set of writers and given the success of the first part, there is a lot at risk. Surely, fans will be excited and have high expectations.
Akshay is currently shooting for Housefull 5. “Welcome to the Jungle,” and “Bhooth Bangla” are lined up after this. His franchise, Jolly LLB 3 is also in line for release in April 2025 during Mahaveer Jayanti and Ambedkar Jayanti.
