The soft spoken Gulveer Singh from Aligarh,U.P hasn’t been home for that past five months.
While the longing to meet the family is quite evident in the Armyman’s eyes, his routine of breaking national records are not bowing before the whims of season or sun.
Gulveer Singh, one of India’s best long-distance runners, broke his own national record in 5000m recently with a timing of 13:11.82 secs in the Japan Athletics Meet.
The Army man currently holds the best time by an Indian in both 5000m and 10000m runs.
He won the bronze medal in the 10000m at the Asian Games.
He also won the bronze medal in 10000m in the 2023 Asian Athletics Championships in Bangkok.
