The Indian squads for the upcoming U23 World Wrestling Championships have been announced on Sunday.
Some of the notable names include that of Sujeet Kalkal (Men’s 70kg FS), who narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Paris Olympics.
Also on the list is U20 World Champion and senior Asian Championships Bronze medallist Priya Malik (Women’s 76kg), who will be looking to make a mark in the upcoming competition as well.

The 2024 edition of the U23 World Wrestling Championships is scheduled to be held in Tirana, Albania from October 21 to October 27, with as many as 30 events in the competition.
Japan has won five of the last six editions and will be looking to make it three in a row.
Team USA and Iran are the ones to watch out for in the men’s category whereas in the women’s category, Japan is the team to beat.
