Zsilzova leads IBCA World Women Cship for Blind and Visually Impaired

Zsilzova- Lisenko Lubov scored six full points and leading the race in women’s section, Salamon Julia is trailing at the second spot with 5 Points out of 6 rounds at the end of the sixth round of 12th IBCA World Junior and World Women Championships for The Blind and Visually Impaired

In the women’s category, WIM Zsiltzova Lisenko Luubov of Ukraine played the King’s Pawn opening with white pieces against Megha Chakraborty of India.

Megha chose the French Defense in the opening, but her opponent confused her by choosing an unusual line.

Zsiltzova recognized Megha’s passive play and launched an attack, ultimately forcing Megha to surrender on the 52nd move.

On the second board, Egeman Emilia of Poland played with white pieces against Tryjanska Emilia of Poland. The Polish player selected the Giuoco Piano opening.

Tryjanska initially had a better position, but on the 19th move, she made a wrong decision to sacrifice a piece in order to launch an attack. Egeman seized the opportunity and played tactically, ultimately winning the game on the 38th move.

In the junior section, on the top board, Racis Michal of Poland played the Reti opening with the white pieces against Gradisek Bor of Slovenia. Racis had a better position in the opening, but Gradisek managed to equalize after a hard-fought game. Despite being in a winning position, both players agreed to a draw due to time pressure.

On the second board, Waghmare Tanish of India played the King’s Pawn Opening with white pieces against Salamon Julia of Poland, who responded with the Sicilian Defence. On the 15th move, Tanish made a mistake by moving the f5 pawn, which Salamon took advantage of in the endgame and ultimately won the game on the 45th move. This victory put her in the lead with a half point.
